The panda’s argument is hard to fault: “A day may come when I get enough sleep and don't need coffee... but it is not THIS DAY.” That last all-caps bit is the joke, and it suits the person who arrives at their desk with coffee before they’re ready for conversation. I’d give it to the coworker who treats an early meeting as a personal insult.
The design is printed on both sides of the ceramic mug, so the panda gets an audience whichever hand holds the handle. The two-tone rim, interior, and handle add some color beyond the printed joke, with six color combinations to choose from. It’s a more considered look than a slogan slapped onto a plain white mug.
It’s microwave safe for reheating a forgotten cup and dishwasher safe when the workday is over. Both make sense for someone whose coffee routinely goes cold beside their keyboard. The catch is the 11 oz capacity: anyone whose first coffee is an oversized pour will be heading back for refills.
