Heat-Changing Cat Mug

The cat waits for the hot drink. Cold, this cup is black; pour in hot coffee, tea, or cocoa and the outside turns white to reveal the cat print. That little reveal is the whole appeal, especially for a cat person whose morning routine could use a bit of feline nonsense. The design needs heat to show up, so an iced latte won't do the trick.

At 11 ounces, it holds a regular serving, not a giant supply for an entire morning. The ceramic body measures 3.7 by 3 inches. It also asks for hands-on care: wash it by hand without a brush, and keep it out of both the dishwasher and the microwave. That makes it a better match for a freshly poured drink than a cup you plan to reheat three times.

For a cat-loving coworker or family member, the temperature-triggered reveal offers more entertainment than a permanently printed cat picture. It makes sense as a small birthday or Christmas gift with an actual trick to demonstrate.
