Some people see a butterfly and say “pretty.” Others want its name. That second group is the audience for this labeled butterfly print: a little natural-history study to look at while the coffee cools. A biology teacher would have a reason to keep this one on the desk beyond the usual caffeine joke.
The 15 oz capacity leaves room for a substantial coffee, and the glossy ceramic has a two-tone design with a colored handle and interior. The choices are black, blue, light blue, pink, and red. That color gets some attention even when you’re holding the handle and can’t see the artwork. The mug is also lead- and BPA-free.
The labels are the reason to choose this particular butterfly mug. They give someone who loves identifying insects something to linger over between sips. For the coworker who needs to name every winged visitor outside the office window, this makes more sense on their desk than another cup with a “don’t talk to me yet” slogan.
