Build-on Brick Coffee Mug

Your coffee break now comes with a small construction project. This black mug has brick-building sides and comes with blocks you can attach to change its look. For the person who keeps building sets on their desk, that’s a better fit than a generic office slogan. You get to make the decoration yourself, then pull it apart and try something else.

The body is food-grade plastic, so this is one for block fans rather than anyone devoted to a ceramic mug. It’s rated for drinks up to 100°C and can hold coffee, tea, juice or soda. The included bricks vary in shape and colour by batch, which makes the customization a bit of a lucky dip.

I’d pick it as a playful desk gift for someone who will actually tinker with it, not someone who just wants a plain coffee cup. You’ll have to wash it by hand, though, and reheating a forgotten coffee means transferring it to something microwave-safe.
